My husband, Phil, and I have been married for 17 years and have six amazing kids! We were both born and raised right here in Southwest Florida. From 2003-2006 I attended college at Texas State University and University of North Florida, pursuing a degree in Nutrition and Dietetics. During our first years of marriage we lived in San Diego, CA. We then proceeded to move around the country while homeschooling our oldest daughter and discovering every playground in a ten mile radius for her three younger brothers. After living in Virginia, Texas, and California, we are extremely happy to be living back near family here in Southwest Florida. Our kids are all in school now and it's been such a joy to have the time and family support to allow me to follow my passion as a childbirth doula, birth assistant and midwife. It's a journey that began very slowly in 2009 helping friends, family, and those in the community who needed a little extra support and encouragement during pregnancy and labor. Then in early 2016 I certified through the Catholic Doula Program. I've additionally completed the DONA training program and certification requirements. I was formerly employed at The Family Birth Center of Naples as the Client Care Coordinator, a birth assistant, and organized the doula co-op from 2017-2020. In early 2019, I started midwifery school and graduated in 2021. I've attended over 450 births, the majority here in Southwest Florida in an out-of-hospital setting. This is an amazing community in which we live, surrounded by many birthing options: hospital with an OB/GYN, hospitals with Certified Nurse Midwives, birth center with Licensed Midwives, and home birth with Licensed Midwives.
